Asked about kitchen vacancies at the Moon in the square, B/mouth. Was told by manager of 25 years that their kitchen staff were all Portugese and that having an English chef would "upset the running of the kitchen". Very taken aback by the comment as I thought Wetherspoons did not discriminate. I was made to feel like a foreigner when I was born in Portsmouth. It clearly states on the employee contract that all staff must have a clear understanding of the English language. I have been a chef for 33 years and have worked with all nationalities which I enjoy. I was denied the opportunity to work for your company because of my nationality. Very disappointed.

Regards Newyearfield restaurant in Livingston West Lothian. Go regularly with xwork colleagues. Yet again we are beibg refused scraaambled egg rolls obviously a little more work involved. What is the speck on this. Yes or No||||| Margaret Cairns .
