My mother had an appointment at 9:30 with Radiology. When I arrived there was no one at the desk. Another lady, a black lady came up to the desk in a wheelchair after I arrived. Finally a girl came to the desk. She looked directly at the black lady and just assumed she was there first. She didn't ask who was first. She didn't look at me, she didn't acknowledge me or anything. I looked at the black lady in the wheelchair and she was looking at me because she knew I was there first. So I said, my mother has an appointment at 9:30. She still didn't acknowledge me, but she finally gave me and the other lady a paper to sign. I would have gladly let the other lady go first, but the desk clerk was either oblivious or it was a pure case of racism and she doesn't deserve to be in the medical field. It was very rude. If I didn't mention it, the desk clerk was black.
