The Detroit – Windsor tunnel is jointly owned by city councils of Windsor, Ontario and Detroit, Michigan and is maintained by the Detroit – Windsor Tunnel Company, LLC. The tunnel has a total length of 1570metres (5150ft) and width of 6.7metres(22ft).The Parsons, Klapp, Brinckerhoff and Douglas were the firms were involved in building a tunnel across the Detroit river. Burnside A was the executive engineer. The engineer of design was Soren Anton Thoresen and the most highlighted ventilation was designed by Ole Singstad.
