Railway Recruitment Board Patna or RRB Patna is one of the recruitment boards for Railway in India. It has been set up to monitor the recruitment process and for conducting the related entrance exams. The board came into existence in 1961 by setting up a small office of the Railway Service Commission at Danapur including Assistant Secretary with class III and class IV staff. In 1981, the commission was announced as Railway Recruitment Board and given all the administrative authorities. In the same year, the RRB was shifted to its present premises in Patna. It was renamed as Railway Recruitment Board in 1985. It covers the juridiction of Danapur, Mughalsarai, Dhanbad Divisions (East Central Railway) and Head Quarter of East Central Railway and Katihar Division (Northeast Frontier Railway).
