Richmond Hospital is formerly known as Richmond General Hospital which is a regional Medicare hospital. It was established in the year 1966 with 132 beds. The Richmond General Hospital changed its name to the Richmond Hospital. As of 2013, the hospital has over 175 beds. It is authorized by the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority.
