I believe there is a Mn State law that requires headlights tuned on in adverse driving conditions )Fog, Snow rain ect.). I asked one officer why they are not stopping violators. His answer, , "We do not want to get wet"
I asked another who was parked along Mn Hwy 13 (in misty conditions) if there was such a law. He replied yes. So I asked him why he did not stop the cars that were driving past him with out their head lights on. Reply, , "I was on the phone. "

Sixty % of senior citizens over 60 years old have at least a 20 % loss of vision because of cataracts. I'm one of them. I want to see on coming vehicles in adverse visibility driving conditions when I am about to pull out on to a Hwy or pass someone. It's unfortunate that "not wanting to get we", or "get off the phone" takes precedence over dangerous conditions. How much safer would the roads be if the law was enforced?
How much would it cost to have a "Turn your lights on sting?"
Educate people that your head lights come on automatically when it gets DARK, NOT when it gets foggy rainy or snowy. Educate that Parking and "Cutsie Lights" will not suffice for head lamps.
