Forwards were introduced by Kuwait Stock Exchange in October 1998. Kuwait Stock Exchange introduced Futures in August 2003. Online trading was started by Kuwait Stock Exchange in November 2003 and options were traded on Kuwait Stock Exchange in March 2005. Kuwait Stock Exchange is the largest market of Arab. Kuwait Stock Exchange is working with more than two hundred companies with totalling over USD 100 billion in market value. In 2009 Kuwait Stock Exchange signed a partnership with “NASDAQ OMX” under which it implements the “X-Stream” trading system and the “SMARTS” surveillance system. The SMARTS surveillance system was implemented by Kuwait Stock Exchange in May 2010 and X-Stream system was implemented in May 2012.
