It was expanded to Canada in 1998 and took over Choice Peripherals, Computerprofis Computersysteme and Treasure Chest Computer. The partnership with Daisytek International in 1999 resulted in the expansion of its product list. In 2001, Insight Enterprises released Direct Alliance from its ownership while closed its business activities in Germay. In 2002, the company was the owner of Comark, one of the eminent computer hardware dealers. It demerged the Plusnet in 2004 followed by the acquisition of Software Spectrum in 2006. In 2009, the company moved its headquarters to Tempe, Arizona.
