Cablevision History:
The Company started its journey in the year 1973 by the efforts of Charles Dolan, an American Businessman. At that time, it had served 1,500 customers. In 1976, the Company introduced first local sports channel in the United States, MSG+ and the first cable store was established in Huntington, New York in 1983. It was publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol 'CVC' in 1986. With the growth of the company, Cablevision launched Triple Play service in 2004 that includes phone, cable television and internet services.
