The British Government decided to hand over British Telecom into the private hands by selling its 50 percent of shares. By 1993, the British Government sold its remaining shares. British Telecom adopted a new name, BT in 1991. BT entered into partnership with US based Mci Communication Corporation in 1994 which provide global network both of the companies. After privatization, it had a joint venture with Telecom Securicor Cellular Radio to launch Cellnet. Cellnet was purchased by BT from Securicor and renamed it as BT Cellnet. BT has adopted various logos since its formation. The first one was in T symbol followed by the “person with the piper” from 1991 to 2003. Its third logo has been created in the theme of “Connected World”. The headquarters of the company is housed in BT center, a ten story building sits at Newgate, London.
