During its foundation, the company was named as Berkeley Homes. The company was building more than 600 executive houses per year as of 1988. The company in the year 1991, overtook Crosby Homes which was based in Manchester and sold it in 2003. It also purchased the 50 percent share of St George based in Berkeley in the same year. After 1990, the company started concentrating on major urban regeneration sites in several cities like some northern UK cities, London, Manchester and Birmingham.
As of November 2013, the company started its largest plan that is to build local shops, extra care facility, landscaping, a primary school, roads and 750 new houses which were to be constructed on a mixed use land. It was in April 2014, when the customer satisfaction rate which the company had collected was 98 percent for last 12 months.
