I was scheduled for a 1:00 phone interview for SNAP benefits 08/03/23. Notified two days prior, I made arrangements with my boss to step away and answer due to importance of the matter so went in back at 12::50 so I wouldn’t miss the call. I sat and waited and by 1:15 I’d been waiting 25min and couldn’t afford to not work much longer. I went back to work for about 30min then checked my phone…. Apparently 1:00 interview means anytime because I had 3misses calls: 1:16, 1:28 and 1:26. I was allowed to return the call and sat on hold, again missing more work, just to make sure someone can document that I did not miss appt and I was waiting missing work. I can send a screen shot of when they called, but I think it’s completely inappropriate to schedule a certain time, not call then email me I missed my 1:00 appt when the first attempt made by your team was 16min late. I called back waited 28min, explained what happened and the lady said well the good news is I can put you through and you can do the interview now without waiting. I said okay, she transferred me and the automated system said four people ahead of you, your wait time is 63min What the hell so already missing in total 35 min of work I left a callback number and hung up.
