AOC is a Taiwan based multinational company that manufacturers a wide range of electronics products like IPS and TFT monitors, LCD televisions and parts. The company operates as a subsidiary of TPV Technology Limited, a Chinese manufacturer of LCDs and Computermonitors.
The history of Aoc started as Admiral Overseas Corporation in Chicago, Illinois in 1934. The company came into existence by Ross Siragusa. In 1947, the company is one of the first companies to make and sell color televisions in the United States. Within first four years, the company sold over 5 million Tv sets. During the 1967, founded in USA, AOC became company of Taiwan region. It is headquartered in Taipei.
In 1978, Admiral Overseas Corporation changed its name into AOC International and in the next year, AOC International started selling of products under AOC brand name. From 1988 to 2001, the company opened its sales offices for monitors in the United States, Europe, Brazil, China, New Zealand and Australia. In 2004, AOC became third largest marketer of monitors in Brazil. In the next two years, it received second position in monitor market of China.
In the year 2005 and 2006, AOC established its operations in India and Mexico. At present, AOC brand is famous in over 40 nations across Australia, North and South America, Europe and Asia. Within four years of inception in India, the company sold more than 16 Lakh monitors.
