It was founded on 1 August 1938 in Halifax, Nova Scotia as Nova Scotia Coach Lines which is also the division of the United Services Corporation. In 1955, the company became wholly owned and purchased from the United Services Corporation by George C. Thompson, Pepper, golden H. Thompson and Ralph A. Finally the company purchased the Highland Lines of Sydney and bus operations of Fleet lines Limited of Halifax. It operated regular passenger, parcel Express services among community throughout the region in the country. Acadians Lines operated regular bus services in Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia as well as Quebec and Rivi ere-du-loup. It has canceled bus services in 2006 on the route among Halifax and Yarmouth because of the low ticket sales and also canceled the route between Saint John, Bangor and Maine New Brunswick in 2011. It was incorporated as Acadian Coach Lines LP/Autocars Acadien SEC in New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia and subsidieries incorporated in Three provinces named Tours Autocars Acadien SEC and Acadian Motor Coach Tours LP. But now the company permanently closed.
