The Trust is administered by a Chief Executive. The Government of Andhra Pradesh presented the
Rajiv Aarogyasri Healthcare Insurance Scheme in 2007. Aarogyasri Scheme is an unmatched Community Health Insurance Scheme being implemented in State. The
Aarogyasri scheme lends and transfers financial protection to families living below poverty line up-to Rs. 2 lakhs in a year for the treatment of serious diseases and disorders calling-for hospitalization and surgery there are 938 treatments covered under the scheme.
About Aarogyasri Hyderabad
Aarogyasri is said to be front-runner scheme initiated by the State Government Of Andhra Pradesh launched with one and only aim and objective of uplifting those families caught in Vicious Circle of Poverty by offering and introducing financial safeguard and camouflage to families living below poverty line upto Rs. 2 lakhs in a year for the treatment of serious ailments requiring hospitalization and surgery. The scheme bestows scope for the systems like Heart, Lung, Liver, Pancreas, Kidney, Neuro-Surgery, Pediatric Congenital Malformations, Burns, Post -Burn Contracture Surgeries for Functional Improvement, Prostheses (Artificial limbs), Cancer treatment (Surgery, Chemo Therapy, Radio Therapy ), Polytrauma ( including cases covered under MV Act) and Cochlear Implant Surgery with Auditory-Verbal Therapy for Children below 2 years. All the pre-existing cases of the above mentioned diseases are covered under the scheme.
